FLOOD INSURANCE MAPS
for LAKE DUNLAP In Guadalupe County
August 11, 2007

There are two revised proposed maps depicting Lake Dunlap which are available for review by clicking on the links below or at the Guadalupe County Health & Sanitation Department. These maps have not yet been adopted and are not in effect.  The prior maps continue to be used at this time.

 

The new maps cannot be adopted before all of the legally required steps have been taken.

Living on the River, we all get concerned with heavy rains. For those of us who lived through, and cleaned up after the flood of October 1998, this is understandable. Although this page is still under construction, here are some great links to tell you what the current river flows are and also Canyon Lake levels. During the peak of the October 1998 flood, we had a flow of over 150,000 cubic feet per second (CFS). Our normal flow during the summer is typically less than 500 CFS.
