RE: The protest of the TPDES permit #TX0010232-001

Hydrilla and algae in excessive amounts can be harmful to humans and certainly creates a public nuisance when the river is unfit for recreational use. We have seen the river rendered unusable for years by hydrilla and now high concentrations of algae has taken our summer months away from us. This is a significant period of time that has affected in-stream use. Using the lake at the risk of your health and your children's' health is an infringement of people's rights. Hydrilla and algae has been a public nuisance for many years. I am one of the people who is affected by the algae in the summer months. I do not use the river and will not let my children swim. I would like a contested case hearing on the renewal of the South Kuehler wastewater treatment plant.
