PLDA Update

December 3, 2019

Dear neighbors,

Can you believe it?  We did it!!!!

We here at the PLDA are humbled by the support of this community — because of you, we reached and passed our main-goal target in less than six weeks — and it is all due to to the tremendous generosity of this community and the families who live here.  Although Thanksgiving is behind us, we remain really thankful that we live in this community and among all of you.

Thank you.

With these funds in hand, so far some $100,256 with all pledges fulfilled, we are going to get this project done.  We plan to restore the lifestyle that brought us here, all those lakeside moments and memories, and our property values — and do it with the certainty that it will be here to stay!

The Preserve Lake Dunlap Association (PLDA) kicked off this campaign just six weeks ago on October 19, 2019, to raise funds needed to take our WCID and the Lake Dunlap Restoration Project forward as swiftly as possible, and with your help, we are already doing just that!

While this is a quiet time in the process, there is still much going on in small groups working out the final details of our agreements, reviewing plans, and being sure all is in place to do this at the least possible cost.

We are still committed to coming back to you ahead of the election in March with all the detail you will need to make your voting decision.  Look for the announcement of that date very soon.

In the meantime, thank you again for all your help.  It means a great deal to all of us to have the resources to get this across the finish line in May 2020, and we are honored by the trust you have placed in us.
